Sometimes, I really don't know whats ahead of me.

Was just looking through 'My Received Files' in my computer.
and found some songs that I've yet to listen.
It was sent to me by Sahai.
Songs from braveheart, the movie.
So, I decided to put it on play mode, and I never allowed to get off that mode for a pretty long time since then.

I really loved that movie alot.
There were so many emotions entangled within the movie itself.
You find yourself feeling sad,betrayed,happy,loved,hatred,sympathy,admiration,respect..
until sometimes your heart gets entangled too. ha.

so what makes is such a good movie ?
because it displayed something far and beyond just emotions.
It displayed something within Mel Gibson's heart..
I don't really know what exactly is it...
but it was very loud. it was a very loud and distinctive cry that nobody can resist.

today was at bugis with shanny dex noel.
dex shanny and i were just talking about KS not too long ago, then KS appeared !
i got a shock !

then when we were at the station, getting ready to go expo, we met KS again !
so amazing ! how timely !

then when we boarded the train,
i met my best girlfriend ruth !
and we met darren yeo too !
ALL in the same carriage !

i was quite amazed.
isn't it beautiful how certain pple just meets you so timely ?

its just like how God puts pple in our lives in His perfect time.
and you'll be so surprised and glad.

today was on my way home from expo.
and i just started thanking God non stop.

before i went to work today, was listening to worthy to be praised at the bus stop

we played a very fun game of carade. it was fun! i enjoyed myself.

you know, ive never realised what it takes to really believe in somebody until recently.

it takes your spirit to be convinced within you, to say ' i believe in you'

sometimes, we may lose sight of the diamond we see in other people.
but you know what ?

and was just reading through a verse that was imprinted on the book.

last night i was on a cab home from bishan station.
the reason why i always take cab from bishan is always becos..
1. im tired
2. the bus ride back home from bishan, a place supposedly to be near, takes forever.
3. ive got tons of things to do!
4. i need to rush home

hmm, either 2 of these reasons satisfy my need to take a cab home!
its just a 5 min or more cab ride back anw.
but yesterday, a beautiful picture came into my mind as i was in the cab.

here goes :

a girl left home in tears, rushing to church, as her mom has just persecuted and threatened her from going church. she was waiting for a cab somewhere near her house, but there seem to be no cab.
this while, she's still in tears.
she prayed for a cab.no cab came still.
soon, after some time, a blue comfort taxi stopped in front of her.
she was crying in the taxi. the time says 1:45pm. service was at 2pm during those days.
she sat in the cab like any other cab.
until, the taxi driver press the 'play' button on his stereo.
and the stereo sang
' into Your hands, i commit again, with all i am, I trust in You..'

the girl looked up and asked ' uncle, are you a Christian ?'
taxi driver ' yea I am. hey, why you crying ? '
girl ' my mom jsut scolded me for going to church and im going to church now.'
taxi driver ' ooohh.. hey, dont cry. its okay one, she may not understand now, but she will, definitely one day. be strong, God will help you one.. '
girl ' yea.. thank you..'
taxi driver ' you know, last time ah, i also dont believe in God one, until my daughter was diagnosed to be ill, cos dont have white blood cell, after very long time, still cannot find any cure, was in a very critical condition.. then my sister pray for me, pray for my daughter, then she somemore ask this pastor to come and pray. it was already past midnight, but then the Pastor still came down you know! then my sister also ask me to try to pray, haiya, at first i also dont believe one, i was laughing at them somemore. but no choice, its already the last opportunity already, so i pray also. then suddenly, the very next day, the doctors found a sudden increase in white blood cell! '
girl ' wow.. which church are you from ? '
taxi driver ' city harvest church.. dont cry, its okay one.your family will come to know God one day'

just then, the cab reaches church, right on the dot.
the girl realises that she forgot to bring money out o the house
taxi driver ' dont need la, its okay.'
girl ' no, uncle, i can get the money. wait..'
then the girl borrowed from one of her church friends she saw.
taxi driver ' oh.. okay, anw, i give you this CD la, i got alot of CD at home, and here is my contact number and name, if you need cab next time to go church, just gimme a call. dont worry, God is real'
girl ' thank you uncle..'

hhhaha isn't it amazing how God has plans ?
He planned for that girl to enter the cab. that particular cab, with the taxi driver.
out of the thousands of taxis in Singapore, only that one special God appointed cab.
only that one God appointed driver.
it was as if God was driving that girl to church isn't it ?
God comforts when you're down. God is on your side when you get persecuted.
God, is real. (:

wonder hows that taxi driver now.
i lost the piece of paper, but i know i'll definitely meet him in heaven again and i'll have a chance to tell him it was the best taxi ride i've ever gotten.

thank you mr taxi driver, thank You God.

later im gna take my basic theory trial test again. cos mine was expired. and BOO. this time round, i'll definitely pass my basic theory okay! although nobody fails it..

but now i really undersatnd everything.
Dominic added that his wife will be someone who overcomes the problem, then after that, share with him how she had overcome it. (:

ive been through so much towards the end of this week.
i realised that loving someone is really not that easy.

last night i came home and this morning i woke up with tremendous joy.

went for trial run at gabriel's house last night and it was so cool. seriously.
learnt so much.
something which i sense so strongly when i was in the midst of ivan,gabriel, honghwee and weitze is the openess, and strong respect they have for one another.
its truly amazing.

it just feels very different.
they have fun, they have jokes. but yet, they have total respect for one another.
the element of respect wasn't missing amidst all the craziness ! its so strong !

the way i see ivan speak to gabriel totally blows me away too.
always so encouraging, but yet, so straight forward.
and there isn't a sense of uncomfortability on gabriel's face when ivan was being straight forward.

the whole atmosphere was filled with love.

for weitze and honghwee, ive always sensed so much humility around them.
and the willingness to always learn more and absorb more.

oh man. i cant stop singing praises. cos its just too powerful.
seriously.

many things that they do, they say, but it sure does carry the strong elements of faith hope love.

today i took a trip back to a place where i will find the answer of
' why am i doing people work?'
sometimes, we may tend to be so drained away by the things we do dont we ?
but when that happens, all you have to do is just to go back to the root
and you'll become even more eager and passionate about what you are doing.

been having several dreams lately. and i realy wanna be pregnant with them.

sometimes, miscarriages may happen. thats when we suddenly forgot or lose that dream somehow.
but who says after 1 miscarriage, one cant be pregnant and give birth ?
i believe that all of us can.
and before one gives birth, one has to be pregnant for 9 months.
carry this dream of yours. no matter how long.
weeks, months, years..
just carry and believe.
and it'll come to past.

i asked God many things.
i asked God if my dog can go to heaven with me.
i asked God if i could sit on one of the clouds and talk to Him when i go heaven.

i asked God if He could help me get rid of stomache which i had
i asked God if He can stop my mom from nagging.

when i say i asked. i really did ask.
i din PRAY. i just asked God casually just like how a friend does.

today i asked God another question.
and im sure somewhere up there, God listens and will answer my this question in no time.

maybe God is writing down all the questions that ive asked.

im a person who loves to think.

learnt about many things from this movie.
shall write down SOME of it here ! (:

1. only those with faith like a child could enter the kingdom of God.
[ lucy was the only one to enter into the secret place within that wardrobe. when her siblings checked, it was just any normal wardrobe. cos they didn't believe lucy. meaning they also dont believe in what lucy saw.]

2. many will serve in the kingdom of God. though you may not be on the front line, you play a significant role. do not doubt your role.
[ beavers were not on the front line. but they led the children to Azlan. ]

3. have faith in others.
[ lucy had faith in the forn. although he was about to kidnap her. everyone had faith in Edmund even though he was once a betrayer.]

4. God forgives the sinners and love them.
[ Azlan forgave Edmund and never blamed him, he loved him so much that he exchanged his life for Edumund's. ]

5. trust in your abilities that God has granted.
[ Susan doubted Peter's sword and almost wanted to give in to the wolf when they were crossing the river. but Peter chose to trust. and never gave in.]

6. to win any spiritual battle, have the word of God inside you and faith too.
[ Peter won the battle by the sword, which is the word of God and the shield, which is faith. and the entire armour of God. Ephesians 6:11 ]

7. God is perfect but chose to die for all the sinners and received the worst humiliation one can receive.
[ Azlan exchanged his life for Edmund's. He was shaved before dying. which symbolises Jesus being taken off his clothings, in front of all the sinners. which is the highest form of humiliation one can get. ]

8. the spirit of loyalty.
[ the soldier was with Peter till death. and he kept his word. he din leave peter to fight the last part of the battle alone. in the end, he was stoned by the witch. ]

9. beaver said ' Azlan is coming back. '
[ Jesus is coming back. to take over this world which is presently in the hands of the Devil.]

10. believe in prophecies.
[ becos the siblings followed that prophecy. therefore theres a continuation of the story.]

11. know the truth. not facts.
[ becos Azlan understood the true meaning of sacrifice, therefore he rose from the dead. whereas, the witch doesnt!]

12. God allows you to make a choice and allows you to fight your own battle. we may struggle a lil, but God is with us. He doesn't fight the battle for us. but He fights it with us.
[Azlan told his soldiers ' this is Peter's battle. let him fight it.' when Peter went to save his sistas from the wolves at the river.]

13. God is gracious, God is fearful.
[ Azlan din quarrell with the witch about what to do with Edmund. but he showed his fierce and mighty side when the witch challenged him and asked if he would keep the promise. he roared the might roar.]

14. betrayal from someone close and dear is the most painful. do not turn your back from God.
[ Azlan told to the siblings ' and thats what make it even more painful.' . even if you ever backslide, do not speak bad about God. and of cos, i hope you will never backslide in the first place.]

15. the siblings became kings and queens in the end. just like how we are called forth to be high kings in the bible.

16. do not bow to other idols.
[ at time of death, the lil fox did not bow down to witch. instead, he remained faithful and bow to God's people, Edmund.]

17. God knows your name.
[ Azlan has never met the siblings before. but yet, he knew their names.]

18. God sends people into your life along this walk.
[the santa came definitely in time, isn't it ? ]

19. with God, all things are possible. numbers doesnt win the war.
[ how would you expect a lion to talk, to defroze pple, to rise from the dead, etc etc ? if you dont, the more you dont agree a normal human Jesus to do that isn't it ? but you saw it. the lion did all those. and what more can we say about Jesus ? ]

20. God's people should be gentle, courageous,magnificent and just.

a doctor. thats your aspiration.
then, you'll realise few mins later,
you'll start to sigh and a tiredness will slip into your heart.
you'll start to think about the PROCESS of becoming a doctor. all the hard work,
all the money that is required etc etc.

but today, i hope you'll just think.

what do you want to be in the future.
do not even think about the process of getting there.
just keep thinking about the 'end product'.
just keep thinkin about what u want to be.
not think about the road in getting there.

i think thats what truly a walk of faith is.
it isn't a route you take when its bright and shiny.
its every single step you take in darkness, that when you place your foot upon each step,
it lights up.

wow! am back from my china trip! like FINALLY!
16 days away from Singapore and so much has changed!
people have changed, things have changed, situations have been changed!

learnt alot of life and the true meaning of 'cherish' in china.

though im away from Sg, im not any lil bit away from the power of God.
His power causes me to stand in awe. totally.

for the past 16 days, many has been added and growin v well in the house of God.
went to church today and was overwhelmed by all the ' YOU'RE BACK!'

and ' WHERE DID YOU GO! '
and 'HELLOO CHRISTINE!'
and 'WHERES MY PRESENT!'

i felt so happy to see everyone. it wasn't that kind of ' MISSING YOU AND NOW I SAW YOU' kinda feeling. its more of ' GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!' kinda thing.

they were so busy but yet, i could sense the 'welcome back home,dear daughter.'

was just re-reading some of my mails.
and especially read about him.
obedience. bending of your will to follow His will.
be like Jim Elliot. be like Pastors. be like Benny HInn.
be like Pastor Kong. be like Pastor Sun..

be like JESUS.

many a times, a certain msg or sermon will hit us on the v day we hear it.
and we get all spirtually refreshed, hyped up by it.
but what we all got to do is to always rem that its not the excitement of the day.
that sermon should be with us in our hearts.
never forgetting it. keep that refreshed spirit there. learn to self maintain.
yea ?

a leader learns to self maintain.
the evil will attack dry bones.
always always rem that.

look to God.
and you'll start to see more.
absolutely blown away by Pastor Lia's sermon on spiritual warfare.
i wanna be like her.
i love my spirit.
God said me to yesterday ' bring them closer.'
it may not be me who bring them to church and saved.
but God sees that im trying. and what God wnats me to do is to bring them closer.
dont be discouraged by the world.
God sees your hard work.
keep on sowing and you shall reap.

today, i wanna tell the whole world about my Pastors.
Pastor How and Pastor Lia.

i started out in heart of God church on the 31st of Oct 2004.
something somehow struck me during my these first few visits.
upon my very first visit, Pastor How came up to me and said hello and we talked a lil.
like what school am i from etc etc.
the second time i went, i tot he would have forgotten my name.
so i just merely smiled at him. or rather, i was trying to avoid him as i tot all adults are funny creatures.
but yet, he came up to me and said ' HI CHRISTINE.'
wow. he remembered my name!
so i thought that was really impressive and thought 'wow. this man has got sucha great memory.'

never got to know my pastors really well enough since the few times we chatted.
when we moved into the new church, i felt a sudden strange feeling towards them.
i was wondering ' why on earth are these young pple in the church loving the Pastors like crazy? and why are they so ever enthu about greeting them when they stepped into church ? '
nothing makes sense to me then. even though i was already a few months old Christian.
i couldn't feel the respect i have for Pastors, i couldn't feel the love i have for Pastors, like how the rest of the youth congregation did.
i mean. i dont even greet my own parents like this!
and whats more, durin that time, i thought pastors are just merely the person on stage teaching us more about God every sunday. and nothing else.
thus, i dont see how my total admiration and respect can go out to the person who just merely speaks to us once a week!

then, as time passes by, the more i couldn't accept and understand. no longer do i say hi to them. and even if i did, i felt weird. real weird.

but somehow, things took a total turn some time back.
i began to see the hearts behind their actions.
that is what i call ' catching Pastors' hearts.'
i see how they react in situations and totally totally, my respects go out to these 2 Pastors of mine.
the calmness and peace of God was with them everywhere they walk, everything they say.
now i know.
Pastor How din remember my name cos of his good memory.
he remembered my name cos he care enough to remember.

he isn't the guy who speaks to us only once a week.
his sermons are his efforts and prepared with his heart

Pastor Lia.
im so full of reverence for her.
she never ever lets her emotions get the betta of her.
yes, shes very sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
but she controls her emotions when it comes to worldly matters and other situations.

got to know my Pastors' hearts even bettter through the discipleship that i received from them.
i saw the other side of them.
i saw the totally parental side of them.
i felt totally that they are my parents.
my spiritual parents.

they have made many sacrifices in their own lives to take the church to where it is today.
but its never about the sacrifices.
what i learnt most from them is obedience.
obedience to the King of kings.
never compromising in any circumstances.
nothing holds them back as long as God's words are clear to them.
fear,rejection,failure never stood intheir way.
in their dictionary, there are only words like 'POSSIBLE.' , ' LETS DO IT.'
never words like ' CANNOT.' and ' IMPOSSIBLE.'

Pastor How, Pastor Lia,
i really thank you for all the times we've chatted, be it if its only a mere hello or a mere few lines we exchanged. i cherish all these times.
will be running behind you all the way. made the decision to never backslide from God. looking forward to everything. i thank you, dear spiritual mummy and daddy.
through your sermons, ive grown and ive known God and His heart better. thank you for all your prayers and blessings. i may not be a zone leader, i may not be a CGL. but i will be there if you ever need me.

i look upon these faces that i see
and a smile is set into my heart.
how i love and how my heart rejoices over every single seed that flourishes in this kingdom of God!

these seeds are going to go forth and not come back.
and theres going to be plenty in this Kingdom of God!

was watching the video on BIG camp1 during service yesterday.
seeing how Gina's sista said the sinner's prayers really melted my heart.
my soul was tremendously touched. tears came out from my eyes as i totally can see God looking down at this young tender soul with such loving and Fatherly eyes.

what is being a Christian ?
its not just a routine of going to church every sat or sunday
its not a few hours of motivational talk you hear from the guy or lady on stage!
its not about the company and love you receive from all your friends
its not about reading encouragin verses from that thick bible as a lit text!

its about bringing people to know this God that you know.
its about experiencing His power and love in your own personal soul.
its about a special relationship that NOBODY can replace.
its about having the Spirit of God inside your heart where-ever you go.
its about really really knowing more about this God
its about having faith.
its about not giving up
its about not just hearing His ways, but also doing and walking His ways.
its about a battle against the Satan.
its about spiritual warfare
Christianity. so many things about it. but yet, its still pure holy and simple.
dont just know God. you gotta know the heart of God.

do not know me by what i do. but know me by the heart behind my actions and words.

purity of heart.

some, are tinted with dirt. no longer pure before the King's.
some, remain as pure as ever, perhaps becoming pure-er as the days go by.

oh well.
to flourish in His Kingdom. your heart has got to be clean and pure.
you choose where you want to be, how you want to feel, and which way you want to react.

some, has to be in the front line.
some, are like David when he was young.
behind at the yards just worshipping God.

i want to be like David.
just to be like a child, worshipping God and taking care of sheep.
and when the time comes, God calls upon me and i will follow.
and never pushing myself to somewhere God has not called me to go.

for every leader that rises, there must be a Godly element in it.
- rising up leaders that will never fall back to where they came from.

I JUST FELL. about an hour or so ago.
was running after the bus, and i fell!
pain, of cos.
but its SO amazing!
Pastor Lia's words just came upon me.
' BE A STRONG GIRL.'

yes! strong girls dont cry and do not require ANY sort of worldly comfort!
then a thought came upon me too!
' STAND UP AND WALK ON. FROM WHERE YOU FELL.'
i stood up, and walked on. as if nothing has happened.
there wasn't much of a very pained look on my face.
i just knew what i wanted. to stand up and walk on!
from exactly the spot i fell!

and guess what!
i got onto the bus! ;D
actually it wasnt much of a ' OH YES! I DIN MISS MY BUS.'
it was... rather like a 'even if i fell, i am able to reach my destination.'
yeahhhh ??
get the ideaaa ?

and the funny thing is that, i fell on my same wound.
it was as if ' NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU FALL, GOD WILL HOLD YOU UP.'
and YOU WILL BE STRONG.

falling may be a common thing. many would just say ' get up lor.'
but somehow, i see a total different thing today.
can you see what i see ?

(: this truly brought a smile upon my face.
was so filled with joy, despite of the pain.
joy overweighs pain. cos its the joy of the Lord.

today theres much to blog about.
had a really funny encounter today.
was on the cab to gary's house, and the driver wasn't exactly sure the directions. so i directed him since i was so familiar with the place.
i said ' uncle, infront turn right.'
then he started to talk about lee kuan yew, and PAP and practically the whole SS textbook.
oh my. can you imagine the feeling that i had. haha.
but beyond all these, i see how the older generations have this tendency to live in the past.
which isn't the best thing in the world.
wish they could see and look beyond into the future.
if only everyone can be like a child, having hopes and lookin so forward to the future instead of being held back by the past.

what a wonderful girl she will be.
watching her grow is one of the best things.
she would just look right into your eyes and you'll melt.
what a wonderful child of God.
i played with her today and really! how i wish i can grow up soon, have a great family and great kids.
and my husband will be just like Pastor How and Pastor Kong.
spiritual,strong,a man of God who does not compromise and with the same value system as me. wow!

recently read something off lyn's blog and its really great.

my child, Faith, she may not be

the prettiest baby, she may not grow up with the best figure, she may not be the most popular girl in school.
in fact, she is not going to be perfect.

but she is going to be a girl of faith,strength,and filled with love and fear for the Lord. growing up to be a great woman for the Lord, filled with the Holy Spirit and bringing others to Christ.

and she is, going to have a great daddy and a great mommy. and the best Daddy Lord.

looking at some of the people around me.
really brings a smile upon my face.
been receiving love letters 2 consecutive weeks.
love to see people grow.
love to see others coming forth.
loving God, loving others.

am in the midst of my exams! (;
papers were of a higher standard and shocking and unexpected questions came out this year! due to the very fact that we are the last batch of the present syllabus as many teachers has said! (;
but still, heart of God youths are running stronger and stronger!
winning this battle, so filled with the spirit and faith!

many may think that this is the period where we the A lvl takers will become so dry on the inside.
but guess what! they are wrong!

ive been experiencing His presence and been through many wonderful accounters even in the very moment im reading my GP paper!
God put a verse into my mind during the first 10 mins of the exam!
it was a verse that ive not read in the bible.
he showed me the very 3 words from that verse and roughly told me where its from!

amazing isn't it!

God has spoken to me so so so many times. ever so cleary, ever so fatherly.
He has warned me, comforted me, encouraged me.
He is always there by my side. always.

but yet, each time He speaks, i will always stand in awe. like a child.
never once was i having a 'take it for granted' attitude towards my Lord.
never.

had many views about issues in life lately!
how i yearn to bring the love of God into certain certain areas in vj.
how i yearn. i know, with absolute faith, that this area that im talkin about, will all come to love God eventually.

had been talkin about things regarding '10 years later.'
what joy!
i am such a person who dream quite a lot.
but how many of us know that big things often start off with a small dream ?

so, im gna be doing great gigantic things 10 years down the road!
thats why im dreaming bigger dreams!

dreams.
it can be a nightmare,
it can be a daydream,
it can be the wrong dream,
or, rather,
everyone should try to dream God's dreams.
